This festive dish, crafted with locally inspired ingredients and a dash of holiday cheer, is perfect for gathering loved ones around the table or discovering new tastes that celebrate the essence of Crete.

Pork Knuckle with Baby Potatoes, Chestnuts & Grape Molasses

Ingredients (Serves 4)

Method

Marinate the pork knuckle in grape molasses, honey, olive oil, orange juice, lemon juice, and spices. 

Wrap the pork in damp parchment paper and aluminum foil. 

Bake at 140°C (284°F) for 2.5 hours. 

Meanwhile, marinate the baby potatoes with the remaining ingredients. 

Remove the parchment paper and foil from the pork knuckle. 

Place the pork and marinated potatoes in a baking pan. 

Bake at 170°C (338°F) for 1 hour. 

This hearty, flavorful dish embodies the spirit of Crete—simple, wholesome, and filled with love.
